Re: ESQL Error -369 : Invalid Serial Number

I've run into this several times on some of my runtime systems. There
is a bug in Informix (#55039), where it won't brand the esql/c
serial number in the libgen.sl file. Therefore, no esql/c programs will
run. All you'll see is the 369 error. Well the fix is easy.
Just become root and cd to the $INFORMIXDIR/etc directory. Then type
"./brand -s serial# key /$INFORMIXDIR/lib/esql/libgen.sl"
where you get the serial number and key off of the card that comes with
the install tape. After doing this, all should be working!
