Just remembered John Lynch's presentation "A Technical Product
Overview of IDS 7.3" at this year's IWUC. On the CD with the
proceedings you should find his presentation as D3 and on slide
9 you'll find the following:
"Checking physical and logical log pages are optional during reserve
page checks. User specify whether log pages will be checked."
When you look up the oncheck options in the 7.30 Admin Guide
you see that oncheck -cR checks the log pages and oncheck -cr
doesn't.
