Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
A poster simply asked for recommendations for VT100 terminal emulation software (for connecting to Informix hosts). Rather than a technical problem, the thread is a list of suggestions: PuTTY (free, fast, accurate telnet/VT100 client, though limited function-key remapping), QVTNet for richer key support, Hummingbird Exceed and Reflection (Exceed better for screen sizing, Reflection better for 4GL function keys), Affinity (Bull/Integro), Esker TUN, James River DejaVu, FacetWin, and the VT220 emulator in Whizz60. No single recommendation was agreed on and the original poster didn't report back.

I use affinity (INTEGRO/BULL), it work's fine, with all the fonctions keys
who can be redefined and some other features. I've tried (a log time ago)
the emulator of ESKER/TUN, it was good too and there was also some
connectivities utylities.

I use both exceed and reflection. I prefer exceed as I have more
control over screen size, etc., but I can't configure all the function
keys. So, when I need to run 4GL programs that make extensive use of
function keys, I use reflection.

My customers use James River's DejaVu for both TCP/IP and RS-232 connections. I
tried FacetWin from FacetCorp as trial - excellent.

PuTTY is an excellent VT100 emulating telnet client, fast, accurate
and free. The function key redefinition options are a bit limited
though. I use QVTNet if I need lots of fancy key support - it's much
slower and costs money, but it works well enough.
