configuration of Informix client on a unix box

This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------A569065147A4C80B1DABC744 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi everybody, at my local site I have got the following infrastructure: * a Informix 7.2 DB running under M$ WinNT 4.0 (don't know why, but things can't be changed!!!) * an Informix ESQL client running under Sun Solaris 2.5.1, which has to connect to the WinNT-DB My problem now is, I cannot connect to this DB under an circumstance, and I always get a '25507' error (bash-2.01$ finderr +25507 25507 You specified an unknown service name or protocol. Tell your database administrator to examine the sqlhosts file entry. Check that the NETTYPE settings in the ONCONFIG file match the NETTYPE settings in the sqlhosts file. If you are using the TCP/IP protocol, check that the correct service name appears in the /etc/services file. If you are using NFS, use ypmake to check the /etc/services file. Sometimes the daemon does not recognize service names that are added after a default boot.) Do I only have to modify the **$INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts**, or do there have to be modified/created any other files? Helping hands or clues would by appriciated very much!
