What Informix Server are you running ? Could you please try to check the free space using df command ? I'd check the free space and free inodes on filesystem on what /tmp is installed: df -v df -i Check on what filesystem the /tmp directory is. If you are running Dynamic Server check if you have set the DBSPACETEMP parameter in ONCONFIG or as an environtment variable. Hope some of these will help, Octav Paul Grenda wrote: >Hi everyone hope you can help. > >We have a production system that has worked for years but has suddenly >ground to a halt with SQL error 229 and ISAM error 131 which finderr >says is trying to create a file in /tmp or the directory pointed to be >DBTEMP.
