Delphi Queries

I'm having a bit of trouble doing queries other than SELECT in Delphi 2.0 I keep getting "Unable to create cursor handle" What I want to do is select a bunch of rows from a table INTO TEMP and then report from the TEMP table, but Delphi will not let me do this. Has anyone tried and sucessfully done this? Thanks, John Cokos
