Excuse me because of my bad english. I have a problem because I don't know informix very well. Is there a function in SPL in order to execute a SQL string in a stored procedure ? Example : I Have a String named "str1" which contains "insert into table1 (field1, field2) values (3,4)" I want a function => function1(str1) which execute the SQL string str1. Could someone help me please. Best regards f.dubois@cross-systems.com

No. SPL does not support Dynamic SQL, unless you have the Dynamic SQL UDRs available from the IIUG web site. > Example : I Have a String named "str1" which contains > "insert into table1 (field1, field2) values (3,4)" > I want a function => function1(str1) which execute the SQL string str1. A classic piece of Dynamic SQL, which therefore won't work in SPL. -- Yours, Jonathan Leffler (Jonathan.Leffler@Informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- http://www.perl.com/CPAN "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!"
