Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Al Nino, working with the IUS 9.1 Web DataBlade, found the supplied Web Data Director templates impractical and asked how to build 4GL-style query/update/delete maintenance screens with next/previous scrolling, lacking HTML and JavaScript skills. Paul Brown replied only 'Use the SPL, Luke!'. Al asked him to expand. Laurent Lafeuille offered example code by e-mail. No technical solution was posted.

IUS 9.1 Web Datablade
I'm trying to develop simple maintenance screens just like I would in 4gl -
what a nightmare!!
The Web Data director has provided templates but the code is awful and not
practical.
I've got an input screen , no problem.
It's query/update/delete that worries me.
In 4gl I would do a construct and then select all the serials id based on
the where clause. next and previous on the menu would use the serial id
scroll cursor to do singleton selects on each row I want to display and then
I would be able to update or delete it.
Can anything similar be done on the Web datablade?
I'm afraid I don't know HTML and JavaScript very well.
Has anyone got any examples of good code for standard table maintenance
screens?
Thanks!

Luke, could you expand on that. How would it help?
Cheers
