RE: Online NT and Online UNIX how to communicate?

Actually, if what I was told is correct, you do have a hosts.equiv (or = should). I was having difficulty authenticating myself, under NT. I was told to = be sure a hosts.equiv file does exist in = %WINDOWSDIR\\system32\\drivers\\etc directory, because it is used. After = creating, I no longer had problems. Also, a word of caution. If you use EDIT, beware that the file suffix = will get truncated to 3 characters. If it does, just move/rename the = file. OK sports fans here's a new one. We have Informix 7.X on various UNIX clients. Informix requires the use of hosts.equiv to authenticate for access. How do we get our NT engines to authenticate since they don't have hosts.equiv? -Mikey
