Re: Informix equivalent to Oracle's OCI

Richard, I beleive ESQL/C is the closest equivalent to Oracle's OCI, but you need to use a Pre-Compiler. Our our side, we have ported from Oracle to Informix using ODBC because we have a database abstraction layer in C++ and we use a lot of dynamic sql and batching (was easier this way). Informix has also a C++ layer to communicate with the server. Maybe someone can confirm or not, but I beleive ESQL/C offers better performance than ODBC.
