Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Dear all,
Although I have worked with 4gl for a number of years I have little
experience with "input array".
The input array statement assumes that you are working with a limited
number of rows. We are trying to edit a large number of rows and have
run into problems.
To use input array with an unknown number of rows we have to query some
rows, edit them, commit them and then query a new set etc.
This is a problem as we would like to edit the complete set of rows and
then commit them (or abort) in one fell swoop.
In this case it is not feasible to define the program array with as many
elements as there are rows in the table.
Does anyone handle this situation in a "nice" way now? how?
Many thanks for any suggestions.
