We had 6.0 for a short time and found it rather lacking in stability. Here are just a couple of problems we had: 1. Migration tools from 5 to 6 corrupted data. We ended up rebuilding the engine, data base and data instead of using the migration tools. 2. Update statistics medium created some problems in data bases which caused occasional aborts in the engine during update transactions. 3. Data replication was extremely unreliable. It's much easier to just restore an engine on another machine if your first machine croaks. 7.0 still has a few bugs, but they are only slightly annoying. We're hoping 7.1 will be even better. Bottom line -- if you want to go to 6.0, give yourself lots of lead time and test everything. After that, test some more. Scott -- Scott F.
