hello all, we are in dire need of optimizing sql for our system. Are there techniques or (ESPECIALLY!) tools we can use that will monitor sql sent and report on the worst performing sql utilized in our system? We are on informix 9.40 FC3 on hp-UX 11i thanks in advance.

Check out the onmode -Y command to enable/disable SET EXPLAIN for a session dynamically. Also look into the Informix I-Spy product from IBM. Art S. Kagel
