Also, Stallion Technologies (still in Los Gatos, CA?) had a product called Crocodile which did same. Finally, if you have sufficient disk space, a simple script can be written around the cpio command, as I did. Here's the logic: run a good backup and ensure it's integrity (though this is not required, one would be rogue to continue without doing so) cpio -p a directory to a file on disk in another location check to ensure successful cpio wipe out the original path restore cpio back to original path on successful restore, wipe out cpio file This is not glamorous, but it is free!
