I found out that the DRDA was originally installed incorrectly. It was placed in a different directory(as tlod by the installer from tech support) because the same tech support guy said to install it AFTER installing Online. Thery were very insistent about installing it last. This of course did not let the Informix instance come up and hence the differnet directories.
