RMI driver and TEXT fields

Hi, The RMI bridge for the Informix Java interface does not seem to work correctly when using TEXT fields. The code below works fine when I use a direct connection (the line that has been commented out), but fails with the following message when a remote connection is used: Error Callback on query : Error unmarshaling return; nested exception is: java.io.WriteAbortedException: Writing aborted by exception; java.io.Not SerializableException: informix.api.common.CallbackRecord Is this a known bug? Does anybody know of a work around? Thanks in advance, Vincent. ===> start of code snippet public static void main(String args[]) throws Exception { Credentials cred; Connection conn; Statement stmt; Row row; cred = new RMICredentials("rmi://localhost:1099/", "iicd", "IICDprd", "wina", "********"); //cred = new DirectCredentials("iicd", "IICDprd", "wina", "********"); conn = cred.connection(); query = conn.query(); conn.open(); query.execForIteration("SELECT age, body FROM blobtest"); while((row = query.nextRow()) != null) { System.out.println("age = " + row.column("age")); System.out.println("body = " + row.column("body")); } } ===> end of code snippet
