NewEra 3.1 DLL problem

Hi, We are a team developing database applications within NewEra-Informix 3.1. We are looking for developer with experience in NewEra-Informix who help us to find a solution for our problem. We decomposed our NewEra-application in multiple modules (programming-in-the-Large). We implemented each module as a dynamic link library (DLLs). Our goal is to have independend subsystems that can be separatly implemented, extended and tested. The librarys can be also reused in other applications. The main application (project) includes all our dlls. We can execute it only in C-Code. In P-Code the program terminates with a run-time error 4448 ("Cannot open the file c:\\bv\\ed\\ed4|.4go for reading or writing"). We found a solution to avoid this Bug using short pathes, short file and directory names for our librarys. However this trick is only possible for at most 3 or 4 DLLs. There seems to be a length-restriction that prevents the usage of several DLLs. We would appreciate any idea how we can solve this problem Regards,
