I can't answer all of you questions but we're a manufacturing company with sales and purchasing departments all inserting/updating/selecting a variety of tables. We use SE with I-Net. The DB is on a 486 tuned for quick disk access and the apps run on 2 386 boxes (with a third on the way RSN). We have about 20 users and for the most part everything runs well and fast enough. Hving said that it could run fasted, but then if we all had a cray on the desk we'd still say it could run faster wouldn't we? -------------------------------------------------------------- | Who cares whos opinions these are?! | | Send me mail and I'll love you forever (Maybe) | |------------------------------------------------------------| | Stuart Hemming | shemminga@cix.compulink.co.uk | | Tudor Labels Ltd | uunet!cix.compulink.co.uk!shemminga | | Roman Bank Bourne | Tel : (+44) 778 426444 | | Lincs PE10 9LQ.
