Run your 4ge from a script which contains only essentail environment varibale ( PATH, INFORMIXDIR, ONCONFIG etc ) run this script with 'env -i script1.ksh'. Now slowly keep on adding other env variables from env output till u hit the problem again and u will know what caused the problem.
