By my calculation you would hit a long transaction if the query took longer than 2.5 minutes. I would certainly suggest that you should have bigger logs. If they fill that fast you are probably spending a great percentage of your time handling log changeover. After all, doesn't OnLine always do a checkpoint when it changes logs? Also, I would look closely at the query. If it is only a small amount of data do you really need the ORDER BY, or could you sort it in memory?
