Dear Rob, Thanks for the info - I had spotted the typo, and had tried "yes" and "1", but had in fact misspelled USEV5SERVER! Your reply helped me spot this, and also pointed me to tbconfig to help me confirm I had the right INFORMIXSERVER setting. Thanks - things are working now.
