[ [ using STANDARD ENGINE 4.1 [ [ [ The system that I administer has a directory with two files in with .log [ suffix. [ These are updated when every data is posted. [ These are presumably audit trails (possibly made by third party software [ which was installed and never used). [ What is the easiest way to [ a) stop addition to these files [ b) clear these files down. [ [ My filestore is becoming full, please e-mail replies. [ thanks in advance. [ J. [ Hi , *.log file is must for recovery and transaction management control .. U can stop the audit trail if u don't want it . It is upto u ... But u cannot stop the transaction log file ... Whatever the case u can initialize to null when u see the filesystem is full .For initializing log file make sure that nobody is in middle of the transaction . Bye. Peter. --
