Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Tia,
You need to identify what the processes are being used for. The way to
do this is by doing an onstat -g glo. The class you can effect easiest
are the AIO processes. The number of AIO processes is controlled by
the onconfig NUMAIOVPS. I usually drop the number by one if the lowest
utilized is less than half the CPU usage of the next lowest. Warning
you can degrade performance if you remove to many of these processes.

David Ashby

Is there a way to limit the number of oninit processes that get spawned?
I'm using 7.20.UC4 for Solaris. They each eat up about 15 megs, and several of
them dont get used at all.
