Process Aborted

Hi, I have a situation which I fail to determine behaviour of informix. We have many hosts on the network & quite a lot of applications accessing databases across the network in the production environment. All our developments is done on a specific machine and deployed in production hosts. In most of our applications, Env : DBASE is read to determine which Database the application should access to run th show. Assuming Currently Application is running to access Local Database sitting in local host, I would execute in the following way $ DBASE=findbs appl.4ge In this behaviour is as per normal with no problems. Situation pops up when I execute same application like $ DBASE=findbs@remote_host appl.4ge In the above Scenario, in fact informix behaviour is again as per normal. But when I quit application in the proper way, Informix writes the following in the turbo log. 17:40:48 Process Aborted Abnormally: pid=21937 user=209 us=c09d3b94 flags=1 In fact I tried using dbaccess & isql $ isql findbs@remote_host $ dbaccess findbs@remote_host Things no problems. What I do not understand is when the application process on the remote machine is absolutely no hanky panky, Why is it only when quit the program. In fact all hosts has similar informix products with same versions. This situation is not confined to one host. This does happens on all our hosts. So I believe there is something to do either version / installations of network products. Has anybody encountered such situations, Please put views on the subject or any suggestions on whether I missed something while installing network products.
