Reguarly copying dbspaces etc to DR server?

All, I am looking for a simple solution to keep a Disaster Recovery Server fairly upto date with Production. For example loading nightly backups in each night, does anybody have anything similar in place, or can you point me in the right direction. We backup nightly using ontape, which seems very difficult to control using a script!
