Unfortunately because different countries have different privacy and data protection laws, your milage will vary. I would say that its best to be paranoid and to do the most you can to protect your data.

IMHO I've always viewed this as going back to the business model of the leased or shared mainframe for SMBs that couldn't afford their own mainframe and/or IT Staff. (Timenet ring a bell?) Its as if history is repeating itself. Its now not the cost of the hardware, but the cost of the network access that is killer. Of course depending on who you talk with, the cost of going to a 'cloud' could be more expensive in the long run. But getting back on target, I have to think that under any privacy concerns one would have to perform an audit of the cloud environment. _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live™: Keep your life in sync. http://windowslive.com/explore?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_BR_life_in_synch_062009
