Hi Rob.
Which version of Informix are you using? On what platform? If it is recent,
you can use "onstat -u" to get the session ID, and then "onmode -Y sessionid
1" to turn on "dynamic explain", so that the query optimiser appends its plans
to the file "sqexplain.out". This should record all select, update amd delete
statements, but possibly not inserts.
If you set "SQLIDEBUG=1:filename" in the environment, every SQL statement and
its results are logged. You would need to restart your Web server for this to
take effect.
There is a tool I-Spy which can be used to monitor traffic in and out of an
Informix instance.
I expect the Web application uses JDBC. In which case, you could temporarily
replace the driver with a debug version.
All of these tools and documentation are available within "www.informix.com",
although they may not be that easy to find! Let me know if I can help further.
