Informix with Netbackup

I am looking for users that are using Netbackup to do archive and logical=20 log backups. How is Netbackup configured and does it handle the loigical log backup=20 load efficiently? How frequently do the logical logs get backed up on a=20 busy system? Does it have a dedicated network with Informix or shared? I may have follow-up questions later. With Warm Regards, Sudhir Katke
I am not sure I will be able to answer your questions in full detail but here
goes.

Usually two separate policies: one for full or incremental backups; and one
for logical log backups. You may also want to back up the emergency boot file
and ixbar file separately.
Yes, Netbackup is efficient IMHO. It can require separate tuning for both
backups and restores.
> How frequently do the logical logs get backed up on a busy system?
As often as they are completed and the instance switches logs. This is done by
the the instance calling the alarmprogram with event class 23 which runs onbar
if BACKUPLOGS=Y.
> Does it have a dedicated network with Informix or shared?
Up to you.
