Hi,
I ahve been doing a lot of this data transfer lately and I have to
admit that MS Access is pretty good at it. There are a number of
different ways to achieve this:
1. Get a good ODBC driver and then link your informix tables
into your access DB by using File->Get External Data->Link tables
and select into these tables from your access tabels.
2. Export data from your access database using the export functions
within access (specify "|" delimiters is probably best) and use
dbacces to load those exported text files into your INFORMIX
database.
e.g. : load from bob.unl
insert into bob
NOTE: SQLEDITOR does not support this syntax.
