My guess is that you have only one instance of sqlexecd running. You need
to define an entry in /etc/services for each instance. eg.
db01srv 8000/tcp
db02srv 8001/tcp
Then in sqlhosts:
db01soc olsoctcp host01 db01srv
db02soc olsoctcp host02 db02srv
Of course you could always have the same name for both the servername
and servicename.
Now su to root and set your tbconfig and start sqlexecd for each instance:
# TBCONFIG=tbconfig.db01
# export TBCONFIG
# $INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlexecd db01 -l $logdir/db01.log
# TBCONFIG=tbconfig.db02
# export TBCONFIG
# $INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlexecd db02 -l $logdir/db02.log
Check your I-Star manual to verify the above syntax.
