Make lots of 2GB disks, and fragment your data > across dbspaces. The 2GB chunk limit still exists in the 64-bit versions. It's a pretty significant overhaul to change this, though I hear it's supposed to happen at some point. You can work around this through logical volumes or by following some unsupported methods of using offsets of >2GB. The 2GB limit was eliminated for shared memory, however. It's still quirky at this point, depending on the platform. Anything under 7.30.FC7 is pretty dangerous with a SHMVIRTSIZE of >2GB.
