WITHOUT WAITING Err, is this a joke question, or are you answering someone else's question without showing it, or is there some extra explanation you want to make about what you want and why 'RUN WITHOUT WAITING' won't do the job? The chances are that if you know about RUN WITHOUT WAITING and it doesn't do the job, then (you are running the C shell and) the child process is being killed when the parent (I4GL) process dies. You might be running on an NCR machine, or it could be some other o/s. To fix this, you'd have to detach the run program from the terminal - using the setsid() or setpgrp() or similar system calls. That means you need a program rather like nohup to run the child - would nohup work? If not, I can supply code which works on setsid() and which can be adapted to suit your particular system if setsid() either isn't available or isn't sufficient. It would also help if you provided some platform details. Yours, Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@visa.com) #include <bother.ms-exchange.h>
