In fact, the known bug which concerns us is : "sysmaster database corruption when upgrading to 7.24.UC3", which also sends some other tables in other databases to hell. And the problem is that, when you try and revert to 7.22 (in our case), the sysmaster is still corrupted (the other tables become readable again), and you cannot drop the sysmaster database. I may have found a solution, but I did not tell it to Informix Tech : onmode -b 7.2 (it's an undocumented feature in the sysadmin manual, itis just mentionned in the migration guide). onmode -b <version> just reverts the disks structure to a previousrelease, and thereby drops the sysmaster (in an internal way of drop, I think). Then, the next time you bring IDS online, it rebuilds (succesfully) the sysmaster. The problem is, I don't know if it's a safe/good solution. Ideas ?
