Disk partitioning

Hi , people I have application that running on computer with several disks. Disk space is about 4Gb( 2 - 3 disks). There are several dbspaces ( 7 - 8 ) and I'm using Online 5.01. I will use raw device of course. I think diverge rootdbs and most accessible dbspaces to different disks. Am I right ? Informix advice to put most accessible dbspaces closer to the center of the disk , but I think that now access time for all surface of the disk is approximately the same. Have anybody experience with disk partioning for Online 5.1 ( up to 6.x is a different story obviously ) ?
