Yeah, I'll have a go: quite often in the sites I work in, they want a snapshot report on the status of the business (how many orders have we taken today, what's our month-to-date position on metric X, etc.) By the time the report has finished printing or comes up on screen, it's out of date, but the manager wants a rough idea of where s/he is. In this case, the "committedness" of the data isn't material. -- Bye now, Obnoxio "C'est pas parce qu'on n'a rien ' dire qu'il faut fermer sa gueule" - Coluche "I'm trying to see things your way, but I can't get my head up my ass" - JCH "Ogni uomo mi guarda come se fossi una testa di cazzo" - Marco I went to the airport to check in and they asked what I did because I looked like a terrorist.
