screen labels

Looking for hints and suggestions. We support many client systems. We now are running into the problem of field labels displayed on a form. We are looking for a way to "change" the labels from site to site and still have a smooth quick drawing screen. We have discussed the pro's and con's of maintaining multiple copies of the screen forms as well as making the field labels data fields and displaying the labels after performing a select statement to get the proper labels. Multiple forms real drawback is the disk space and the maitainance required. Displaying the labels as data fields then requires the "multiple" scan of the screen the users will see before they can even begin to use the form. Anybody have any comments or ideas on the best approach to take or maybe some little tricks to "hide" some of the screen scanning? All help and comments welcome.
