Question

Dear all: I want to know if is possible to take down TCP when you want to kill the sqlexec daemon, I mean if i want to kill the daemon and then put it to work again, is not possible because the bind address is already in use, because there are connections to the database so we have a procedure to take down all, but what i wan't to know is how can i drop the services of TCP when the informix is online or off-line , for example with Santa Cruz OS you only use stop TCP or something like that, so who can accomplish this in the HP-UX 10.20 or 11.0, is a difficult task?, or exist a procedure to do this.
