New Era

A little something I heard about New Era runtimes I have no idea what the availability of the individual products are but... $500 is a package deal that includes NE runtime, ODBC drivers, and SE for windows. If you don't need all the pieces, you can (theoretically) buy the individual pieces. $250 for SE for Win $150 for NE runtime (the important part, including i-net!) $100 ODBC drivers This means that for most big (normal) installations where you are probably connecting to some big Online database on a UNIX box, all you really need is $150 per runtime. SE is nice for development, but really, if you spend the money to develop something in New Era, it is probably going to me multi-user and a local copy of SE isn't going to cut it. This info comes from our sales guy who confirmed this with an Informix sales guy. If you are having problems getting the stuff, drop us a line, we might me able to help you out. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Informix Premier Var -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Miguel A.
