Need Help On Justifying A Data Warehouse...

We are ready to ask our CFO for funding of our data warehouse. I would like to know how others cost justified/ROI the system to the person with the checkbook. Questions: 1. How do you quantify improving data access to the users; improving their ability to make business decisions based on corporate data? We are having a difficult time putting a dollar figure on this? 2. How do you quantify improving data access to datamarts; We realize that the data warehouse will create an ideal devlopment environment, eliminating the need to constantly pull data from our expensive legacy systems, but how to put a price tag on that? 3. Price tag on having an advantage over our competitors; being able to service our customers, identify our profitable and non-profitable markets, etc.? These are only three of the major business advantages a data warehouse will give us. Any help on how you cost justified and presented return on investment on your warehouse would be greatly appreciated!
