To get details about your stored procedures, you can run a query against the
sysprocedures table. The values in the 'paramtypes' column will help to
drop the procedure(s). Once you know what the parameter types are, you can
identify which of the overloaded procedures you wish to drop. For example,
if I had two procedures defined as follows:
create procedure test_overload(inval1 char, inval2 char)...
create procedure test_overload(inval1 char, inval2 integer)...
I would need to identify them with the parameters to drop them. If I wanted
to drop the first of the two, for example, I'd issue the following
statement:
drop procedure test_overload(char, char);
With the first one gone and just one left, I'd be able to drop the remaining
procedure with either of the following statements:
drop procedure test_overload(char,integer);or
drop procedure test_overload;
If you will be creating overloaded procedures in the future, you might want
to look at using the SPECIFIC clause. Details are in the Guide to SQL:
Syntax manual.
