Hmmm, I had the same problem. I tried using MiniSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL for my Internet Auction project. They all worked for what was needed but I would like to have transanction support, subqueries and basically the whole ANSI SQL 92 standard. But none of the cheap/free SQL server offers all the options Informix, Oracle, Sybase does (especially for serious transaction based databases) but I still found MySQL great ( The programmer that made it is really helpfull in solving problems ). Maybe I'll be able to afford something like Adabas D, and or SOLID someday 8-(. George Daswani CIO Digital Odyssey
