Strange compiling behaviour in r4gl.

A bug report: A 4gl beginner was writing his first program and then compiling it. Using the r4gl environment he chose Compile:Runable; then he got the message 'Press Return to continue' and the env. did not continue to the Save-and-exit menu or Correct errors. By accident he later found the 'program'.err file and then started to think that this wasn't quite normal. So we started to debug and found that he had used quite a lot of display commands with the 'by name' clause; but used it thus that it was 'display var-name by name'. This syntax error made the compiler tumble and die without completing the .err file and the environment giving 'Press Return to contineu' without any notification of errors. Is this a known behavior?
