'F' denotes 64-bit Unix. U is 32-bit Unix. The only F release I'm aware of is DEC alpha. The second letter goes: A - Alpha Test version B - Beta Test version C - Customer Release (first) Subsequent releases increment the letter to D, E, etc. Billy's answer is otherwise right on target. - Tom Girsch Database Systems Manager Arch Communications Group, Inc.
