Of course you will get your share of irrelevant answers - I have yet to see a (reasonably large) company where that isn't the case every now and then. If that happens, and you have the feeling that the person on the other end isn't "connecting", ask them to transfer or escalate your call - I have yet to have that fail. As to manual flipping - come on, don't you ever look at the manual for the tool you work with day in and day out??? Informix actually has been very good about following up on case numbers, and making sure that things get resolved. This is not to say that I always liked their answers, but they have never "forgotten" a call... Jan
