Hello,
I have a test box that is used by many people, they simply login choose a
customer and all the needed environment variables are then setup.
The user can then bring on line their very own Informix instance for that
customer instance.
Is there a way i can find out which Informix instances are on line?
For example, I have 4GB RAM in the system and I have tuned it to allow 4
instances to run side by side, however people don't shut down their instances
when they are finished so I would like to be able to report which instances
are on line to warn the user that to many instances are on line and which ones
they will need to go and shutdown.
Is this possible? Even if I can't report on which instances are on line I at
least need to report on how many are in memory at the very least.
Thank you in advance.
Hi,
we started with 11.10.FC2W1 and with in few months W3 and now on 11.10.FC2W4
and ....
proddb:/export/home/informix> onstat -
IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.10.FC2W4 -- On-Line -- Up 22:15:04 --10683392 Kbytes
But
proddb:/export/home/informix> onstat -g dis
Server Version: IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.10.FC2W1
any reason why this is not showing 11.10.FC2W4?

Thank you , i didn't realise it was as easy as doing 'onstat -g dis'.
I did look but i must have missed it!
It works perfectly by the way.
