The only other thing I can think of is the Guest account on the server. Set the guest account to active and give it another try. I think that IIS uses it when it has an unknown client process. It is worth a try. If you have more trouble you should contact Intersolv or post to their news server. I had this same problem about a month ago. Turns out that Informix has a major bug in their installation instructions for their P.C. installation. Here is an outline of how I got around the problem: 1) On the NT I uninstalled all of the Informix products. 2) I rebooted the NT. This is necessary because Informix fails to clean-up their locks on their DLL's. Rebooting the computer fixes this problem and releases the locks. 4) Then I manually deleted the Informix directory with all of the dll files. This cleans-up the remainder of the DLL's that Informix fails to clean-up. 4) After that I Installed the ODBC products from scratch (The client SDK). There is one other note worth mentioning. We've never been able to get the ODBC 2.8 driver working even with a clean installation. Nor was Informix able to solve the problem. So for now we are using the ODBC 2.5 driver with IDS 7.30 until Informix can clean-up its act. This is the only way we could get the ODBC services that we require. However, I'm noticing that others seem to have the Intersolve 2.8 driver working with VB6.0. No such luck over here.
