Hi Nageshwaram, Our production system is on HP-UX, but we run a small datamart (around 9GB) on an NT machine. It does fairly heavy load processing every night -- but only a couple of analysts use the data during the day. All and all I have been pleasantly surprised with it's stability and performance. It handles the nightly bulk load (using unl files and a lot of stored procedures) very well. The only problem I see with it is that when you start to load it up with multiple users/processes (10+) is starts to get very sluggish. However, in fairness, this happens so rarely here that I have not made any attempts to tune. Hi , We are planing to use Informix database on the Windows NT platform. To my knowledge Informix is good on Unix ( Please correct me if I am wrong). Please , can some one give me the performance and stability details of the informix on Windows NT. Is it worth while to go on and use Informix on Windows NT , or not???? If not what is the best database. Regards, Amar N
