datetime insertion problems

I am trying to insert data into a field defined as DATETIME <YEAR to SECOND> and am trying to insert the following value: '1995-08-17 08:00:00' It used to work in OnLine verison 7.1 but does not seem to work in OnLine version 5.x. Is this a valid value for insetion under version 5? If not how do I insert the data in a correct format? Thanks...scd
