Hi Dale, sorry for not reading your article correctly: Are both agents running admagent and osagent ? If so, when you run stopsa, do both stop? If not, kill them and run startsa again. Is your onconfig still up to date? The agents seem to take all information from onconfig rather then from the engine/shm. We run into similar problems with a corrupted onconfig-file (some values reset to default; DBSERVERNAME was mashine-name rather than our db-server's name; remembered me to an very old bug from 7.10, but i don't blame informix, as i can't reproduce this) hth martin
