And to tell you the truth, I am not sure which one is best. We have looked at, PowerBuilder, VB, Gupta, Jam6, Uniface 6, NewEra. With PowerBuilder and VB and Gupta, you have to write a lot of code to do anything. Jam6, Uniface 6, and NewEra seem to do a lot for you. Each one has it faults. I am looking at Delphi right now, but it is not as open as I wish it would be. But with Delphi, you have to write a lot of code if you want to have your application to do a find. While other tools will just let you take something like a SuperTable and it does all the work for you. But with tools where they do a lot of work for you, well you are kind of stuck doing anything special because it just will not let you do it. Out of all the tools I have looked at, I like NewEra the best. It needs some work though. But the 4gl++ is very good and it is strong to let you do what you want. So what if you code looks something like this.(this.this).this("hello"); Looks like OOP to me. :) I am getting a demo of PassPort next week. It seems to be a cross from Jam6 and Uniface 6. It might be a good tool. I would like to hear all your complaints about NewEra, you can send me an e-mail if you want. But I would really like to know what I am getting myself into before I buy a tool. Thanks
